We held a small reception here after my daughter’s christening and could not have had a better experience.
The planning/communication beforehand, the staff, the food and drinks were all exceptional and we all felt very welcome.

This starter was almost £10 and took 1 hour 20 mins to arrive from table booking time/when we arrived. Poor presentation on a filthy bowl.
For a normally outstanding pub something really wasn’t going well that night. Overbooking tables never works.

We have eaten at the Dolphin in the past as a party of 8 and the food was amazing. This week we visited as a party of 2 adults and a dog and we were seated in the bar area. The food was incredible and the staff were very attentive. We will be back again in the future.

We were returning diners and the food and service was just as good as it was before. Staff and other customers were friendly....as were the four legged ones.

If you just want a drink get there early, even then you may find everywhere has a reserved notice then your only option is outside. If you wish to eat then its probably ok.

Lovely pub, friendly and helpful staff.
Fantastic meat platter but the cheese one though plentiful, was disappointing as the cheese had just come out of the fridge and needs an hour at room temperature in order to be enjoyed at it's best

Came here for lunch. It was really busy, we hadn't booked, so by chance they had a table.
There's lots of tables outside, also lots of space inside, including a lovely conservatory. The team they have working there are lovely. Everyone who we spoke with were very helpful and attentive. Especially as they were so busy, they weren't stressed or flustered, very kind and courteous.

Lunch in the garden. Delicious food - recommend the seafood platter and apple coriander cheesecake. Elderflower and cucumber spritz is gorgeous. Excellent service from young team of waitresses in spite of several large parties at tables.
